Summer Concert Series at the Lighthouse Recap

We hope you were able to enjoy great music and fun times this summer.
Concerts in 2018 were held from Wednesday, July 4, through Labor Day weekend (September 2), and the weather cooperated every day.
Many thanks to our volunteers who worked in the museum on concert days and to the volunteers who ran our concession stand and ice cream socials. Special thanks to our wonderful Lighthouse Events Sponsors, who helped make this great concert season possible.

An impressive repertoire of arrangements from swing-band era to modern big band and popular music.
Rochester's favorite Dixieland jazz band is sure to get you stomping your feet!
This nine-member ensemble offers a variety of vocal styles, percussion, horns, bass, guitar.
Nine-time SAMMY Award-winner Isreal Hagan is both a singer and a songwriter. His 4-octave vocal range has gotten him onstage with such luminaries as Robert Cray, B.B. King, Carlos Santana, and Otis Day. Back by popular demand! (Ice Cream Social from 1-3 p.m. Enjoy a sundae with all the toppings for $4.50. All proceeds support the Sodus Bay Lighthouse.)
John and Joe Dady entertain audiences throughout the U.S., Canada, and Ireland with fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bodhran, banjo, uilleann pipes, harmonica, and even a penny whistle, while performing country, bluegrass, folk, and Irish music.
Since 1995, this versatile, Western New York steel drum band has entertained with Caribbean, jazz, pop, and classical music .
August 12: Dan Elliott Quartet
This foursome pays tribute to three famous saloon singers: Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Nat King Cole. Playing standards from the Great American Songbook of the 1940s and '50s as well as hits of the 1960s. (Ice Cream Social from 1-3 p.m. Enjoy a sundae with all the toppings for $4.50. All proceeds support the Sodus Bay Lighthouse.)
SAMMY Award-winner Letizia has been voted the best vocalist of Central New York, and has performed national anthems for NFL, NBA, and MLB teams in the U.S. and Canada. Hailing from Syracuse, this 5-piece, high-energy dance band plays everything from the standards of the '40s to today's pop favorites. You don't want to miss this one!
Syracuse's premier authentic modern and traditional country music band. This well-polished act has been performing since 1993.
This 19-member group plays all your Big Band favorites (Count Basie, Duke Ellington) with great vocals (Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole). These talented musicans bring back an era that has influenced the world of music we know today.
